MANAPANY REOPENS IN ST. BARTS: WHAT TO EXPECT THIS SEASON

Categories : Our hotel, Our News, published on : 10/20/26

At the beginning of November, Anse des Cayes gradually returns to its usual rhythm, with mild temperatures and sunny days. Light moves across the hillsides, the trade winds flow through the gardens, and the first days unfold between the beach, island explorations and long pauses overlooking the sea.

For its new 2026–2027 season, Manapany once again welcomes guests to an intimate hotel set directly on Anse des Cayes beach. The first stays are available from November 4, 2026. Rooms close to the shoreline, accommodation on the hillside, surfing, spa treatments, island-inspired cuisine and experiences for couples and families all form part of this season’s reopening.

RETURNING TO
Anse des Cayes

A BEACH WITH AN EVER-CHANGING CHARACTER

Manapany is located directly on Anse des Cayes beach. From the common areas and Beach categories, this white-sand beach can be reached on foot without leaving the hotel. Sun loungers, parasols and towels are available for guests.

Anse des Cayes is exposed to the energy of the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on the swell, wind and weather, it may be suitable for swimming, provide good surfing conditions or require greater caution. Underwater visibility and sea conditions are therefore never constant, and guests are advised to check with the hotel team each day.

SURFING IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL

The bay is one of the recognised surfing spots in St. Barts. Private lessons can be arranged with TropicSurf for adults and children, and for different levels of experience. The activity is available upon request and at an additional cost. Advance booking is recommended, as sessions depend on sea conditions.

Ideal for: active travellers, teenagers, experienced surfers and beginners wishing to learn with an instructor.

CHOOSING
between the beach and the hillside

THE ACCOMMODATION CATEGORIES CLOSEST TO THE SEA

Not all rooms at Manapany are located directly on the beach. Guests wishing to stay as close as possible to the shoreline should select one of the categories featuring the word Beach.

The 75 m² Beach Side Suite offers private access to the beach. The 40 m² Beach Prestige Junior Suite is located directly on the sand, while the Beach Junior Suites provide particularly close access to the shoreline.

VIEWS FROM THE HILLSIDE

The Ocean categories and the Panoramic Suite are located higher on the hillside and are designed to offer views towards the sea. They should not be confused with beachfront accommodation. The Tropical categories, meanwhile, overlook the gardens and vegetation rather than the ocean.

For families, the Beach Family Suite can accommodate up to four adults and one child, while the Family Suite and Villa Créole can accommodate five guests. Connecting rooms are also available as part of the Family by the Sea experience.

Ideal for:

  • a honeymoon: Beach Side Suite, Panoramic Suite or an Ocean category;
  • a family stay: Beach Family Suite, Family Suite or Villa Créole;
  • a more secluded stay surrounded by vegetation: Tropical categories.

REDISCOVERING
the flavours of the island

TWO ATMOSPHERES, ONE CULINARY IDENTITY

Dining is organised across two complementary settings. Rockies is an open dining room cooled by the trade winds, with panoramic views over the sea. Sandy Beach places its tables beside the beach in a more relaxed atmosphere, with your feet in the sand.

The menu brings together French culinary traditions and Caribbean flavours, featuring fish, shellfish, tropical fruit and herbs grown in the hotel garden. Lunch is served from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm, and dinner from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Breakfast is available from 7:00 am to 10:30 am.

Practical details: the restaurant is open every day. Reservations are recommended, particularly for dinner and during the busiest periods of the season.

TAKING TIME FOR YOURSELF
by the sea

The Manapany spa is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and offers treatments and massages using Dr. Hauschka products. The wellness programme also includes a dedicated spa pool, a fitness area, and yoga and Pilates sessions.

Morning yoga classes are available every day from 8:00 am to 9:00 am, upon reservation, for guests staying at the hotel.

EXPLORING
St Barts

Manapany offers a peaceful setting away from the island’s livelier areas while still providing quick access to Gustavia, Saint-Jean and the other beaches of St. Barts. Hiring a car remains the most practical option because of the island’s terrain and road network. The hotel can arrange car hire and also offers transfers to the port or airport, priced at €30 per journey.

THREE EXPERIENCES THAT ARE EASY TO ARRANGE

  • Gustavia: a short drive away, easy level, no reservation required for exploring the town; restaurant reservations are recommended.
  • Boat trip: departures generally leave from Gustavia, advance booking is essential, and itineraries depend on the weather and sea conditions.
  • Surfing at Anse des Cayes: direct access on foot from the hotel, variable physical intensity, lessons must be booked and conditions should be checked on the day.

Manapany has held the Green Key certification since 2021. Returning to Manapany this season means rediscovering a refuge closely connected to its surroundings: the sound of the swell in the morning, pathways climbing between the accommodation buildings, gardens crossed by the trade winds and the opportunity to explore St. Barts without giving up the tranquillity of Anse des Cayes.
