Far from the most photographed beaches, Saint Barth reveals another way of experiencing the sea: quieter, more mineral, more intimate.

ANSE DES CAYES,
a wilder spirit

Among our favorite addresses, Anse des Cayes holds a special place, perhaps because it does not try to seduce at first glance. More raw than worldly, more oceanic than postcard perfect, it reveals another side of Saint Barth. The sand is dotted with coral, the sea can show character, and surfers like to come here to find their lines when conditions allow.

From Manapany, the experience begins without an itinerary. You walk down towards the beach, watch the light on the rocks, listen to the surf. It is a cove for walking, breathing, watching the sea in its natural movement. On days with swell, it becomes almost hypnotic, with that very Saint Barth contrast between dry vegetation, Atlantic rollers and white houses clinging to the hillsides.

A few minutes away, the Saint Jean district makes it possible to extend the outing with a coffee, a boutique or a livelier stop. But the charm of Anse des Cayes lies precisely in this return to calm: a nearby beach, experienced like a secret by those who love landscapes that feel less polished.

COLOMBIER,
the cove that must be earned

The water is crystal clear, the setting naturally spectacular, and the absence of direct access by car preserves its charm. The setting is vast, sun filled and stripped back. The pale sand, dunes, vegetation and sea create a very pure, almost meditative scene. It is the perfect address when you want to combine beach, boutiques, harbor and sunset without getting back in the car for too long.
